Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Drafting & Vetting of all kinds of Commercial Agreements viz. Licensing Agreements, Lease Agreements, HR Agreements, Agreements relating to IPRs, Channel Placement Agreements, Digital Services Agreements, NDAs, Adminstrative Agreements, Consultancy Services Agreements, Marketing Agreements, Investment Agreements, Compromise & Settlement Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings

- Drafting Legal Notices & Response Notices

- Strategizing and Co-ordinating with Advocates in respect of filing / defending cases

- Maintaining Databse of Contracts, Notices and Legal cases. Making periodical and other Reports / Notes / Statements on the same for reporting the same to HODs, Board of Directors & its Committees

- Co-ordinating with his counterparts in other locations of TV9

- Liaisoning with regulatory authorities

- Provide legal advice to editorial, production, and HR teams on issues affecting content creation, employee relations, and company policies

- Identifying potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them to ensure

protection of the company's interests and reputation

Skills and Competencies:

Key Interfaces:

- Must have a Bachelors Degree in Law from a Premier Institute.

- Must have worked for a Legal Department in a Company.

- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and make sound legal decisions in fast-paced environments.

- Strong expertise in Contractual Laws, particularly Media Laws, Laws pertaining to Intellectual Property Rights, Defamation.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

- Experience of working in Media / Entertainment sectors would be added advantage.

Ideal Experience Profile:

- 8 to 15 years.

- Focussed experience for atleast a few years in Media / Entertainment would be added advantage.

Reporting Relationship:

- To report to AVP - Legal
