AGM - Legal

Responsibilities and Key Activities

• Drafting and Vetting of all key Commercial Agreements: Licensing, Lease, HR, Intellectual Property, Channel Placement, Digital Services, NDA, Administrative, Consultancy, Marketing, Investment, Settlement, and MOUs.
  
• Developing and Implementing Effective Legal Correspondence Strategies
  
• Collaborating with External Counsel on all aspects of litigation, including pre-litigation assessment, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
  
• Managing the Legal Database: Maintaining accurate records of all contracts, legal notices, and litigation cases. Generating regular reports and analyses for management, the Board of Directors, and relevant committee.
  
• Liaisoning with regulatory authorities.
  
• Providing legal advice to editorial, production, and HR teams on issues affecting - content creation, employee relations, and company policies
  
• Identifying potential legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them to ensure protection of the company's interests and reputation

Essential

• Bachelors Degree in Law from a Premier Institute.
  
• Prior experience working in the Legal Department of a reputable company.
  
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and make sound legal decisions in fast-paced environments.
  
• Strong expertise in Contractual Laws, with a particular focus on Media Laws,
  
• Intellectual Property Rights, and Defamation.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
