Assistant Manager- Life-cycle Assessment (LCA)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Life-cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) services at TUV SUD South Asia (TSSA).
2. Conduct LCA and PCF studies for a wide range of products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
3. Organize meetings with clients and other stakeholders to market LCA and PCF services, and actively participate in technical presentations and discussions.
4. Maintain accurate documentation and records for all LCA and PCF services.
5. Update client information and provide consistent communication on a day-to-day basis.
6. Review client application forms and prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotes.
7. Prepare detailed LCA and PCF reports in accordance with ISO standards (ISO 14040, 14044, and 14067).
8. Foster strong relationships with clients before, during, and after the sales process, ensuring smooth project execution and completion. Attend seminars and conferences to identify new business opportunities.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in LCA tools, protocols, standards, and industry trends.
10. Contribute to business growth by supporting efforts to increase sales within the LCA and sustainability domains.

Technical / Business-unit Specific Skills and Knowledge:

1. Proficient in SimaPro software for conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) studies.
2. Extensive work experience (7 to 10 years) in Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for industrial products, including the ability to quantify environmental impacts in line with IPCC guidelines using SimaPro software.
3. Demonstrated experience in conducting more than 5 eco-efficiency assessments of products. Certified LCA Practitioner with a strong understanding of ISO 14040/14044 standards.
4. Knowledge of sustainability practices, including Eco-design, Sustainability reporting, Assurance Audits for Sustainability Reporting, and GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Protocol.
5. Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, SDGs, and ESG reporting and ratings. Experience with Corporate Sustainability Reporting and related protocols is a plus.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum Requirement: Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, Sustainability, or Environmental Science.
• Preferred: Chemical Engineering background.
• Proficient in SimaPro software
• work experience (7 to 10 years)
• Knowledge of ISO 14040/14044 standards.
