About the Role:

TÜV SÜD South Asia is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team for the JSW Project at Dolvi, Pen, Maharashtra. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing mechanical work, ensuring smooth coordination between design, production, maintenance, installation, testing, and commissioning phases of the project. You will work closely with the client, site teams, and external stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met with a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Attend Project Meetings: Participate in client, site, and external design team meetings as required for the project.
• Mechanical Work Oversight: Handle all aspects of mechanical work, including design, production, maintenance, and installation processes.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems in alignment with contract specifications.
• Workload Planning: Ensure that workloads are planned effectively to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
• As-Built Drawings: Prepare As-Built Drawings using E-CAD to document all mechanical systems.
• Schedule Implementation: Implement the work schedule and monitor progress to ensure timely project execution.
• Documentation Handling: Manage all required documentation as per project and industry standards.
• BOQ Verification: Verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with actual quantities on-site and report discrepancies to Head Office.
• Quality & Safety: Execute work with a strong focus on quality control, safety standards, and adherence to mechanical leadership roles, ensuring compliance with all applicable construction drawings and specifications.
• Shop Drawings & Invoicing: Prepare shop drawings, raise invoices, manage variations and claims, and finalize suppliers and subcontractors.
• Engineering Documentation: Responsible for maintaining engineering documentation in compliance with project requirements.
• Problem Solving: Provide support in problem-solving during the design and on-site phases.
• Mechanical System Coordination: Plan and coordinate the execution of mechanical, electrical, and civil-related work across teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Steel Plant Experience: Familiarity with steel production processes and equipment.
• Mechanical Design Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD, FEA, and mechanical design processes.
• Process Systems Knowledge: Experience in HVAC, piping, and maintenance systems.
• Project Coordination: Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and team coordination for large-scale projects.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Structural Work expertise.
• Experience with 100T crane erection work.
• In-depth knowledge of erection methodology and mechanical systems.
• Experience in fabrication and welding.
• Safety compliance and quality inspection knowledge.
• BE in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of experience in relevant roles.
