Back-End Engineer

• Take charge of your own codebase and suggest improvements in the existing code
• Coordinate with the front-end to ensure all engineers are on the same page
• Work closely with the development team in all aspects of development
• Actively participate in team wide meetings with the product and engineering teams

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
• Demonstrable experience with network engineering within a low latency environment
• Prior experience building and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure, including expertise in virtualization and/or the topology of physical data centers
• Solid understanding of the ways that Amazon load manages/assigns virtualized instances and transports data across those data centers
• Prolific understanding of routing across the global internet (autonomous zones, BGP, et cetera) and ways to bypass slower protocols when transferring data between AWS data centers
• Experience in cryptocurrency trading, high-frequency trading in other markets, or similar low latency applications is helpful but not required
• Fluent in verbal and written English
