Senior Java Developer

• Develop Serverless APIs utilizing Java and the AWS SDK to communicate with various databases and back-ends to meet the platform's requirements
• Use Java 11+, DynamoDB, RDS, and other tools to create AWS Serverless APIs
• Participate actively in the rewriting and estimating of stories for the product backlog with the product, engineering, and design teams
• Work autonomously and with self-accountability as a member of a remote team that values strong communication
• Continually deliver value for the increasing needs of our growing customer base
• Engage in research, concept development, and active contribution to the evolution of front-end software engineering practices

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a back-end or software developer
• 5+ years of front-end development experience
• Demonstrable experience with AWS and Java
• Extensive experience working with Java 11+, DynamoDB, RDS, and AWS Serverless/Lambda framework
• Demonstrable experience building and working with REST/GraphQL APIs
• Prolific working experience with Authentication and Authorization providers like Cognito, Auth0, etc.
• Extensive experience with Git and relevant best practices
• Proficient knowledge of HTML, CSS, and jQuery
• Prior experience working within agile teams and actively participating in various agile ceremonies
• Nice to have 2+ years of experience working with AWS Lambdas/Serverless functions and SAM CLI
• Prior experience working with docker containers and various Java testing tools/frameworks like Mockito, JUnit, etc. is desirable
• Fluent in spoken and written English communication skills
