PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Product Specialist to play a crucial role in
promoting our distinctive range of products to healthcare providers. As part of your responsibilities, you will be required to travel to various hospital locations in order to conduct product demonstrations and deliver training sessions to healthcare providers. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
● Product Specialist will be responsible for demonstrating products and providing application
training to healthcare providers.
● Accommodating the schedules of healthcare professionals in setting appointments.
● Integrate into all accounts, build trust and relationships and establish strong rapport with
doctors.
● As a Product Specialist, your role involves collaborating with the sales team to identify
potential buyers within the medical device industry. This will require traveling to various
hospital locations across India. Additionally, attending workshops, CMEs and engaging in Key
Opinion Leader (KOL) activities are integral aspects of this position.
● Analyzing competitor products and highlighting our unique product features while
demonstrating.
● During both pre and post parts of the sales cycle, the Product specialist will provide support to
the sales team through product demonstrations and training activation.
● This position requires a professional with established credibility to work directly with KOLs.
● Provide feedback on competitive tactics and activities.
● Efficient, timely and accurate reporting to the Direct Manager.
● Their duties include traveling to healthcare facilities, introducing products to medical
professionals and training users on product functionalities in assigned areas/regions.
● Training nursing staff, technicians and doctors on product usage, storage, cleaning and
troubleshooting.
● Identifying potential problems with clients before they arise and recommending solutions &
Preparing reports on client activity, sales opportunities, and customer satisfaction levels.
● Consulting with management about new products or services that may be appropriate for
specific clients.
● Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
● Handling complaints and negotiations.
● The product specialist will be doing fieldwork along with sales team, i.e., traveling to various
hospitals and areas assigned during the mentioned working hours.
● This profile also includes market research, product management, price mapping, advertising
plans, and development of marketing tools based on requirements.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree are required for this position, with preferred fields of study being
Science, Pharmaceutics, Nursing, Technology, Business Administration or any other relevant life
sciences department.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Clinical specialist/Product specialist/Key Account
Management/Business Development
• Out-station travel is a must.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Being multilingual and having previous experience in Anesthesia/Critical Care segment
would be a plus.
• Must be proficient in computers with full knowledge of MS Office.
WORKING HOURS
Days: Monday to Saturday
Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
