Data Modeler - Python/SQL (3-5 yrs)

Role : Data Modeler (Remote with Occasional Office Visits).

Are you an experienced Data Modeler with a passion for designing and optimizing scalable data models? We're looking for a dynamic professional to join our team and help shape our data architecture for modern data warehousing, integrations, and governance.

This is primarily a remote position, but you will be required to visit the office occasionally for critical meetings or team collaboration, as needed.

What We're Looking For :

We need someone who can :

- Design and implement data models and database schemas for platforms like BigQuery.

- Write efficient SQL and Python code to analyze, optimize, and manage data pipelines.

- Understand and apply Machine Learning principles and Set Theory in large-scale data environments.

- Normalize databases effectively at scale and support ETL/ELT processes in Cloud Data Warehousing.

- Ensure compliance with Data Governance and Data Quality Processes while adhering to business rules.

What You'll Do :

- Data Modeling : Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for structured and unstructured data.

- Database Design : Create scalable and performance-optimized schemas for platforms like BigQuery and Snowflake.

- Integration Support : Collaborate with data engineers to enhance ETL/ELT processes.

- Governance & Quality : Establish and maintain standards for data governance and quality assurance.

- Optimization : Refine data models for better scalability, performance, and storage efficiency.

- Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into actionable data models.

- Documentation : Keep clear, detailed records of data relationships, constraints, and mappings.

- Innovative Practices : Leverage knowledge of machine learning, set theory, and advanced modeling techniques to stay ahead of the curve.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience with data modeling tools.

- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases such as BigQuery and Snowflake.

- Advanced SQL and Python skills for query optimization and automation.

- Deep understanding of Cloud Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and database normalization.

- Familiarity with business rules, data governance, and data quality best practices.

- Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in Set Theory.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with machine learning models and their integration into data systems.

- Familiarity with governance tools like Collibra or Ascend.

- Knowledge of DBT and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
