Plumbing Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Engineer to design and oversee the plumbing systems for our projects. The role involves the full scope of plumbing design deliverables, from concept development to tender design and documentation, including technical specifications, BOQ, schedules, and drawings. The Plumbing Engineer will also assist draftsmen with plumbing design modeling using AutoCAD and Revit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design plumbing systems, including water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems, from concept to schematic and tender design.
• Prepare detailed plumbing documentation, including technical specifications, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), schedules, and drawings.
• Independently handle calculations for water supply, drainage systems, stormwater drainage, and other related plumbing design requirements.
• Create and update layouts, schematic mark-ups, and plumbing system designs as per project needs and requirements.
• Work with draftsmen to provide assistance and guidance on plumbing design modeling using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards, including PHE (Public Health Engineering) and fire fighting systems.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure the integration of plumbing systems with other building services.
• Contribute to the preparation of design reports, proposals, and technical documentation as required.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and evaluation of bids.
• Perform site visits when required to ensure design implementation is in line with specifications.

Required Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in designing plumbing systems for water supply, sewerage, drainage, and stormwater drainage systems.
• Strong understanding and experience in plumbing design calculations and layout creation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for plumbing system design modeling.
• Knowledge of Public Health Engineering (PHE), fire fighting systems, and relevant standards and codes.
• Ability to independently manage design tasks and contribute to multiple projects.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team and with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with STP (Sewage Treatment Plants) design is a plus.

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
