The Director of Security is part of TriNets Global Security team and reports directly to the Chief Security Officer, working closely with Global Security Leaders and TriNet Leadership in India. The Director of Security provides local strategic leadership and operational execution, overseeing TriNets Security program and organization in India. In support of protecting TriNets customers and critical assets, this role is crucial in aligning the India Security Team with India and US-Based operations, projects, and initiatives across the company.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse Security team through hiring and developing the current security team that aligns with the Global Security Organization. Partner the TriNet corporate teams (Product, Technology, Data, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, etc.) in providing expert leadership, guidance, and support on Security. Lead and drive the Security function in India, including projects and initiatives based in India - and supporting the US-Based organization. Provide strong technical leadership to the team and partner teams. Security Operations: Develop and manage local team in support of security operations, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Oversee local IAM team to ensure proper access controls are in place and maintained across all systems and platforms. Cyber Defense: Oversee the local team responsible for cyber defense, implementing advanced threat protection measures, maintaining robust cyber resilience, and supporting Incident Response. Architecture and Engineering: Lead the local team in supporting the design and implementation of security architectures and engineering solutions to safeguard information systems and technology infrastructure. Threat and Vulnerability Management: Lead the local team in supporting TriNet s Threat and Vulnerability Management programs. Cloud Security: Lead the local Cloud Security function, in support of TriNet s overarching design, build and operational requirements. Physical Security and Safety: Lead local physical security function, including site security, employee safety, and asset protection. Governance, Risk, and Assurance (GRA): Lead local GRA function, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements related to security. Third-Party Risk Management: Lead local TPRM function to mitigate risks associated with vendors and third-party service providers. Business Resiliency and Crisis Management: Support the Global Security Business Resiliency and Crisis Management program by providing local leadership and support to maintain effective plans, leading the organization through security crises as they arise. Product Security: Lead local function to maintain security protocols for product development, ensuring the integrity and safety of products from conception to deployment. Awareness and Training: Lead local function to provide support in awareness and training for India and US-Based departments, creating a positive and engaged culture, and raising the bar of excellence for the organization. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with local and US business operations and stakeholders to align security strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless security integration across all business units. Build and maintain relationships with external partners local to India, to stay informed about emerging threats and best practices. 5%

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Experience Details A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior security leadership role, preferably in an offshore or remote environment. Experience building and leading successful security organizations, with experience in Identity, Architecture, AppSec, and Security Engineering domains. Experience in leading and managing large-scale security teams. This role requires a seasoned security leader.
