IBDP Coordinator

Position: IBDP Coordinator

• Oversee the implementation of the IBDP curriculum in accordance with IB guidelines.
• Support subject teachers in developing engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences.
• Ensure the alignment of ATL (Approaches to Learning), TOK (Theory of Knowledge), CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service), and EE (Extended Essay) within the curriculum.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
• Provide ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities for IBDP teachers.
• Conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and support teacher growth.
• Ensure teachers are up-to-date with IB assessment criteria, subject reports, and best practices.
• Guide students in subject selection, career pathways, and university applications.
• Monitor student progress, address academic challenges, and implement intervention strategies.
• Support students in completing core IBDP components, including CAS, TOK, and EE.
• Oversee internal and external IB assessments, including predicted grades, IA submissions, and examinations.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of student performance, portfolios, and coursework.
• Train teachers on IB assessment policies, moderation, and feedback mechanisms.
• Maintain IB records, reports, and programme documentation for inspections and evaluations.
• Communicate IB curriculum updates and policy changes to faculty, students, and parents.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the IBO for authorizations, evaluations, and workshops.
• Organize parent orientation sessions, student information meetings, and faculty briefings.
• Foster a strong IB ethos and international-mindedness within the school community.
• Support accreditation processes and help the school maintain its IB World School status.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in IB authorization and evaluation processes.
• Exposure to university counseling and career guidance.
• Strong understanding of CAS, TOK, and Extended Essay coordination.
