JOB PURPOSE
Power Evacuation & Connectivity Expert will lead efforts in securing grid connectivity for large-scale renewable energy projects (500-1000 MW annually) in regions with optimal wind and solar resources. This role involves coordinating with CTU (Central Transmission Utility), STUs (State Transmission Utilities), and other internal stakeholders to secure grid access and power evacuation solutions. The ideal candidate will run power evacuation feasibility studies, conduct necessary due diligence, and collaborate with external consultants to ensure continuous power supply over the long term, addressing challenges such as transmission constraints, grid integration, and regulatory compliance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
KRA
- Align with the renewable energy business plan lead the process of securing 500-1000 MW connectivity annually for renewable energy projects from CTU, STUs, and State Load Dispatch Centres (SLDCs) in coordination with Project Development and Wind/Solar engineering team.
- Perform power evacuation feasibility studies to assess transmission network capacity and system stability for large-scale wind, solar, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with CTU, STU, SLDC, and other relevant agencies to address grid congestion issues and ensure timely connectivity approvals.
- Review network expansion plans, identify transmission bottlenecks, and work on solutions to ensure optimal power evacuation.
- Conduct due diligence on transmission network capacity, ensuring grid infrastructure can accommodate renewable power injection over the long term.
KPI
- Secure 500-1000 MW grid connectivity annually from CTU, STU, and SLDCs.
- Complete timely power evacuation assessments for all planned projects.
- Resolve transmission bottlenecks and ensure smooth power evacuation with relevant authorities.

Regulatory Coordination & Compliance
- Navigate and manage the process for securing grid access in compliance with CEA, CERC, SERC regulations, and relevant grid codes.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with interconnection agreements, grid codes, and PPA terms.
- Ensure alignment with policies related to FDRE, RTC, and BESS integration for firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects.
- Attend various meetings with CTU, STU and other nodal agencies for gathering market intelligence
- Collaborate with transmission planners for CTU/STU connectivity, load flow analysis, and grid interconnection approvals.
- Work with regulatory teams to ensure compliance with CEA, CERC, and SLDC/RLDC norms
KPI
- Ensure 100% adherence to CEA, CERC, and SERC grid access regulations.
- Secure timely interconnection approvals in coordination with CTU/STU.

- Stakeholders in Renewable space (Government agencies and private players, Regulatory bodies etc.
- Central, state and Local government bodies and authorities, related to revenue and land department or any other wrt to carrying out business.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: B. E. /B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or related fields
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 8-12 years in grid integration, power evacuation, and transmission network planning in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hybrid).
