Job Description:

ORACLE DBA Professionals having good understanding of RDBMS concepts. Experience in installation, configuration, maintenance, Upgradation, Migration of Oracle/Oracle RAC databases in production environment with large volume of data and transaction.

Responsibilities

• Installation and creation of databases as and when required
• Configuration of Security features in database like Oracle ASO
• Configuration and maintenance of database replication and DR setup
• Import, export, taking archives of databases
• Database space management.
• Resolution of DB Crash / Rebuild due to Incident
• Installation and configuration of Database software and creation of databases in various environments
• Database Patching and Upgrades
• Reinstallation / Reconfiguration support for existing instances if required.
• Planning and execution of recovery procedures
• Vetting of Performance tuning suggested by OEM and planning for the execution
• Database performance tuning and response monitoring
• DR Drill support for the above mentioned databases
• Implement best practices.
• Capacity planning related to hardware

• Oracle Golden Gate, ODG, Exadata Administration

• The L2 DBA should have basic knowledge of IBM DB2 RDBMS and Open sourceDatabases.
• Database impact analysis in case of major activities
• Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents
• Repeat Incident / Alert Analysis
• Trend analysis of historical incidents, and identification of patterns.
• Risk Analysis and mitigation planning

Primary Skills: Oracle DBA

• Good communication and documentation skills
• Should be a team player
• Experience on Oracle 11g/12c/19c database and operational support.

• Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools
• Good understanding of the underlying operating system(Windows/Linux/Solaris)
• Good knowledge of the physical database design
• Handson experience in oracle database software installation.
• Handson experience in oracle database creation.
• Handson experience in database instance and parameter
• Handson experience in tablespace and datafiles.
• Handson experience in User, Profile, Privileges and Roles.
• Handson experience in Undo tablespace.
• Handson experience in Logical Backup Expdp and Impdp.
• Handson experience in RMAN backup
• Handson experience in Upgrade and Migration.
• Handson experience of Data Guard, Switch over, Failover and Monitoring.
• Handson experience of ASM.
• Handson experience of RAC.
• Handson experience of performance Tuning.

Secondary Skills: MySQL/Postgres DBA

• Experience with MySQL 5.7-8.0/Postgres
• Installing and upgrading software (Percona /MariaDB/Postgres)
• Creating and managing database user accounts and permissions
• Backing up and restoring the database
