Head - Design - Solar & Wind Renewable Energy (18-27 yrs)

Take primary responsibility for the design and engineering function of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind, and others, from conceptualization to implementation

- Lead the detailed design process for large-scale, grid-connected renewable energy power plants, covering both AC and DC systems

- Oversee site assessments, energy forecasts, site surveys, and optimization of complete plant layouts to ensure project feasibility and efficiency

- Manage energy yield analysis, data evaluation, measurement campaigns, and assessment of power generation and associated losses

- Conduct technical evaluation, selection, and comparison of components and equipment, such as modules, inverters, cables, mounting structures, and BOS for utility-scale solar PV, wind, and other projects

- Finalize bills of materials (BOM) and prepare detailed technical specifications for key components to support procurement and project execution

- Continuously evaluate and update technologies, suppliers, tools, methodologies, and industry best practices

- Achieve cost efficiency through design optimization and strategic vendor development for BOM. Lead cost estimation efforts and provide support for utility-scale project costing

- Offer technical assistance to the business development team during the pre-bid and proposal stages

- Collaborate with internal departments, clients, and regulatory authorities to address technical requirements and resolve issues

- Perform due diligence, design risk assessments, and mitigation planning for ground-mounted solar PV plants

- Manage team development, training, and client support as per project needs

- Strengthen engineering processes and systems for the design of various types of solar photovoltaic power plants

- Plan and execute detailed engineering and project management activities, adhering to modern methodologies and quality standards

- Coordinate with customers, project management teams, contractors, and installation/commissioning teams to ensure successful project completion

- Provide timely feedback on critical project issues to relevant departments and the management team

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in renewable energy systems, emerging technologies, and innovation processes

- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for engineering and design, with a focus on innovative, breakthrough technologies in renewable energy

- Lead the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge renewable energy technologies, systems and products

Qualifications & Exposure: 20+ years of experience Engineering and Design Skills

- Comprehensive understanding of the entire project design lifecycle for solar PV, wind, and energy storage systems

- Expertise in solar PV products and utility grid architectures

- Experience in developing vendors and suppliers for civil, electrical, mechanical, and power evacuation systems
