Database Engineer

Data Engineer - Internal application team, who should create SQL, PL/SQL and metabas reports.

An SQL developer in writing basic to complex queries/procedures/triggers

DB Clustering, DB Load balancing experience

Data replication/Data Migration experience

Data Modelling experience

Unit Testing

• Should be able to understand the client’s state and business. Ability to work with team members towards quality delivery and focused upskilling.
• Should be able to understand the requirement and translate logical requirement to the data model and physical database.
• Identifies designs, codes, and debugs tasks necessary to develop SQL solutions.
• Writes code that can be easily maintained/reused, by following the coding standards.
• Produce good detailed design and code documentation.
• Works with QA personnel to develop and carry out test plans to ensure the solutions delivered are as per the business requirements.
• Works with database personnel to design logical/physical database models to support the requirements related to Queries
• Should be able to tune up the performance of queries.
• Develops database triggers and SQL queries needed.
• Takes a leadership role in the team environment; encourages coaches and mentors team members in acquiring the technical skills needed to effectively produce solutions.
• Participates in the ongoing support and problem resolution of developed Solutions.
• Responds appropriately to urgent technical support situations and procedures with quick and effective solutions to business problems.
• Participates in design and code reviews with peers, team members, and architects.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Knowledge of database administration activities like setting up node-cluster setup and database load balance would be a great plus.
