Aluminium Die casting Metal Flow Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Purpose of the role:

As a member of the MFA Durability engineering team, the role of Aluminium Die Casting MFA analyst will be primarily to do flow analysis of the Aluminium Die Casting components. Designing of Runner & Gate feeding system ,You may also be involved in post processing the simulation reports. You will be also responsible for Metal Flow software ( Flow-3D Software) and Hardware management w.r.t License utilization and Monitoring, Job scheduling, Server related issue solving and escalation.

Role Description:

• 3 to 9 years of experience in MFA modeling activities specially on Aluminium Die Casting components- HPDC, GDC & LPDC. ( Flow-3D software )
• Designing of the feeding system (Runner & Gate) for HPDC, GDC & LPDC.
• Conduct Moldflow simulations for new and existing products to analyze mold filling, cooling, solidification, porosity, Velocity, pressure and warpage behavior.
• Collaborate with product design, tooling, and manufacturing teams to optimize part designs and tooling for manufacturability.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations for material selection, gate locations, cooling system designs, and cycle time optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve molding issues using simulation results to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed simulation reports and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement simulation-driven improvements and validate tooling concepts.
• Stay updated on the latest Moldflow software updates, Die casting molding technologies, and die casting alloy materials.
• Train and mentor junior engineers on Moldflow simulation techniques and best practices.
