Plastic body Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Purpose of the role:

As a member of body team, the role of body panel design engineer is to design 2W body panels which involves B surface generation from the styling data, detailing of component features considering tooling direction finalize the mountings considering DFM and DFA.

Role Description:

• 5-8 years of experience in Plastic body panels design in Automotive domain
• Proficiency in UG solid and surface modelling
• Experience in 2W industry is preferred
• The person should have detailed understanding of making 2D drawings, GD &T, tolerancing
• Should have working knowledge of workflow and release management in PLM
• Should be a team player as the person has to work along with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers
• The person should demonstrate flexibility in terms of working hours, visiting to plant to address assembly line issues, visit to suppliers to resolve issues
