Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Account Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing corporate accounts. This role will be crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient payroll administration, and insightful financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Management:
- Prepare and maintain accurate Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts, balance sheets, and other financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes. -
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, including budget vs. actual analysis, variance analysis, and cash flow projections. -
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and other reporting tools to analyze data and generate meaningful insights.
- Support the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
Payroll Administration:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Prepare and file all payroll related tax filings.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting and tax regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Other Duties:
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (B.Com).
- Preferred: Master's degree , CA or MBA Finance.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing corporate accounts.
- Proven experience in preparing and maintaining P&L accounts and financial statements.
- Extensive experience in finance and accounting tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. -
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -
- Ability to maintain confidentiality. -
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Familiarity with Indian tax laws.
