About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect with 16+ years of expertise, including 8-10 years in Data Migration, Database Design, and Python Programming . The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Snowflake s cloud-based data platform , ensuring seamless data migration .
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership in technical projects, and hands-on experience with ETL tools, Python scripting, and cloud environments .
Key Responsibilities
1. Snowflake Development
- Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data warehouses.
- Build and maintain Snowflake objects (databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures).
- Implement Snowflake best practices for performance tuning and data storage.
2. Data Migration
- Lead large-scale data migration projects , ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Plan and execute migrations to Snowflake from on-premises or legacy systems .
- Develop strategies for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) .
3. Python Scripting
- Develop Python scripts for data transformation, automation, and integration .
- Create reusable components to streamline data workflows and ETL processes.
4. ETL/ELT Development
- Work with ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, Apache Airflow for seamless data integration.
- Optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch processing .
5. Cloud Integration
- Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud .
- Utilize cloud-native services like S3, Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery for data storage and processing.
6. Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders .
- Lead and mentor junior developers , providing technical guidance and best practices.
7. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Monitor and resolve issues in data pipelines and Snowflake environments .
- Ensure the security, compliance, and scalability of data solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory Skills:
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake .
- Proficiency in Data Architecture, Data Migration, ETL processes, and Dimension Modeling .
- Strong knowledge of cloud data warehousing concepts and best practices .
- Expertise in Python/Java/Scala, SQL, ETL processes, and data integration techniques (with a focus on Snowflake ).
- Experience in data governance frameworks and DataOps practices .
- Familiarity with real-time streaming technologies and Change Data Capture (CDC) .
Secondary Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory):
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards .
- Strong communication and presentation skills to guide juniors and interact with stakeholders.
Certifications (Desirable but Not Mandatory)
- Snowflake Certifications:
- SnowPro Core
- SnowPro Advanced Architect
- SnowPro Advanced Data Engineer
- Bachelor s/master s degree in computer science , Information Systems, or related field .
