HPC Consultant - Linux/Red Hat (2-8 yrs)

Job Description :

- As an HPC Consultant, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the smooth operation of High-Performance Computing clusters.

- You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to implement and maintain robust HPC solutions.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Monitor day-to-day operations and health of HPC clusters.

- Install, patch, and upgrade the latest RedHat OS and Linux-based applications.

- Configure and manage SLURM job schedulers for efficient application processing.

- Manage and maintain the xCAT database for HPC clusters.

- Add and configure new nodes within the HPC cluster.

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in HPC environments.

- Optimize system performance and ensure cluster compatibility with applications.

- Develop and maintain pre- and post-scripts for xCAT.

- Install and configure applications for specific HPC requirements.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of High-Performance Computing principles and practices.

- Proficiency in RedHat and Linux OS installation, patching, and upgrades.

- Hands-on experience with xCAT cluster management, including database maintenance and node additions.

- Knowledge of SLURM scheduler configuration and optimization.

- Familiarity with hardware and software components in HPC systems.

- Problem-solving skills to address cluster and application issues.

- Experience with automation scripts and tools used in HPC environments.

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of virtualization and AI/ML infrastructure.

- Experience with hardware configurations from Dell, HPE, or Lenovo.

- Familiarity with networking protocols and HPC-related integrations
