Business Analyst

Role - Brief Description
Gather the business requirements for a complex multi-screen application from various
business stakeholders, document them in ADO, communicate them unambiguously to the designers
and developers, and clarify their queries, if any.

Activities Involved
1. Interacting with business to gather detailed requirements
2. Documenting them in Azure ADO user stories updating description and acceptance criteria,
backlogs, change requests, etc.
3. Preparation of lo-fi designs in PowerPoints or excel to help designers build hi-fi designs in
Figma
4. Explaining designers, the lo-fi designs and clarifying their queries in a detailed manner
5. Explaining the hi-fi mockup designs to the engineering/development team (front end, back end and
integration) and clarifying their queries in terms of user experience, functionalities
6. Creating UAT test plans – test cases, expected results, etc.
7. Coordinating between business stakeholders, designers and engineering teams to ensure everyone is on the same page
8. Updating client managers on the progress, and pro-actively flagging issues and risks on periodic basis

Required Skills
1. Good communication skills – Actively participating in all the calls, asking right questions, and
taking copious notes
2. Good logical thinking - Understanding business requirements, visualizing them in a lo-fi
design, imagining various flows the user might go through, tying them with the back end.
3. Prior experience in integrating front end with back end applications can be helpful
4. Should be very comfortable with Azure ADO, PowerPoint and excel
5. Power BI experience is preferred
6. Should take initiative, ownership and be very proactive

Domain or Functional Knowledge
1. Agro and supply chain background will be helpful
2. The current business process involves sourcing and distribution of seeds to various suppliers and growers – Crop cycles, planting, growing, harvesting, supply inventory, storage, shipments, contracts, pricing, etc. This knowledge is needed to capture business process and requirements with accuracy.
