Pega Build Engineer - Release Management (6-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pega Build Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of Pega application builds and deployments, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery from development to production. You will design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools, and play a crucial role in enhancing our release management processes.

Responsibilities :

- Manage the complete lifecycle of Pega application builds and deployments, ensuring seamless delivery from development to production.

- Perform package builds and deployments using Pega tools and techniques.

- Create and manage release packages for Pega applications.

- Design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines for Pega applications using CI/CD tools.

- Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure application quality.

Job Description :

- Manage Pega application versions in a version control system (e.g., GitLab, Bitbucket).

- Implement and maintain effective release management processes.

- Experience using gitlab (preferred), bitbucket source code control.

- Work within the Agile Scrum methodology, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Utilize tools such as ServiceNow and/or Jira for task management and project tracking.

- Implement and maintain test automation strategies to ensure application quality and stability.

- Collaborate with QA teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Troubleshoot build and deployment issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

- Provide technical support to development teams during the build and deployment process.

- Maintain clear and concise documentation of build and deployment processes.

- Share knowledge and best practices with team members.

- Proven ability to positively manage work in a dynamic environment and to work autonomously as required.

- Ability to assimilate and organize large volumes of disparate, minute detail, and assemble a big picture view.

- Ability to rapidly build knowledge of application business area and application requirements.

Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with Pega application build and deployment processes.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and methodologies.

- Experience with version control systems (GitLab preferred, Bitbucket).

- Proficiency in using Pega tools and techniques for package builds and deployments.

- Strong understanding of implementing test automation and release management.

- Experience working within the Agile Scrum methodology.

- Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow and/or Jira.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
