Design Engineer

• Having experience plastic product design.

Hands on experience on CATIA.

• Interior and exterior product design experience.

• Automotive domain experience.

• GD & T knowledge.

• Should be able to generate new concepts/master sections. Roles and Responsibilities:

• To lead a team of engineers working on automotive two, three and four wheeler design projects.

• Preparation of commercial quotes for design projects based on no of persons, hours invested and softwares required.

• Preparation of BOM with quantities and material

• Conducting DFM and DFA of assemblies.

• Preparation of timeline of the project.

• Customer interaction for understanding requirements and timely updates of the project. Highlighting hurdles in design and getting consent from customer on solutions.

• Maintaining Gantt chart and highlights of change in project scope and cost overrun.

• Guidance and development of junior team members.

• Working on CAD softwares for design of automotive parts of BIW and other vehicle aggregate.

• Effective outsourcing of activities if required and maintain records of it.

• Inputs to other agencies like tool designers. Proto building team. Skill Set Required:

• Proficiency in CATIA modeling.

• Proficiency MS Excel for timeline and cost proposal generation.

• Awareness of practices, terminology of automotive products.

• Interpretation of CAE reports and knowledge of corrective actions in design
