Job Title: Engineer - CX Design & Development

Reporting To: Lead - PV CX Design & Development (L4)
Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with a passion for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have experience designing user experiences and interfaces for automotive applications, including in-car infotainment systems, digital dashboards, and other vehicle interfaces. This role requires close collaboration with design and engineering teams to create intuitive, visually appealing user experiences for next-generation vehicles. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and technology, reflecting our companys commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. User Experience Development:
- Organize and conduct primary interviews with target groups.
- Gather indirect customer feedback through internal and external channels.
- Conduct trend research in the automotive industry and related sectors.
- Develop customer journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for periodic reviews and CFT consumption.
- Participate in CFT workshops for user experience development.
2. UI Development:
- Translate UX designs into responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing interfaces for automotive digital platforms.
- Ensure optimal performance, usability, and accessibility of in-car UI systems.
- Develop scalable and reusable UI components to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve UI bugs and performance issues.
3. Technology Implementation:
- Implement UI designs using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
- Integrate APIs, backend services, and real-time data streams into user interfaces.
- Optimize UI systems for performance and accessibility.
4. UX Delivery and Feedback:
- Translate business and UX requirements into service designs and interaction models.
- Prepare and implement user interface designs into functional and engaging phygital experiences.
- Develop interaction models for complex automotive UI environments.
- Conduct periodic CFT workshops to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Maintain a global UI repository and ensure adherence to brand and project guidelines.
5. Innovation and Research:
- Stay updated on emerging trends in UI/UX, automotive technologies, and human-machine interaction.
- Recommend new tools and workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
6. Benchmarking and Practices:
- Research and publish insights on industry practices.
- Propose updates to current design practices.
7. UX Budget Management:
- Manage annual projections and track UX budgets for supplier engagements and CAPEX.
Education:
- Graduate/Master’s degree in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field is preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Design Tools: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, Figma, and InVision.
- Prototyping: Expertise in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Basic understanding of front-end technologies.
- Responsive Design: Experience designing for various devices and screen sizes.
- Typography & Color Theory: Strong grasp of visual design principles.
Soft Skills:

- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality outputs.

- Experience designing user interfaces for automotive applications.
- Collaborated with product managers, engineers, and other designers to implement design solutions.
- Conducted user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Experience with AI and GenAI is a plus.
