About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Manager of Marketing to lead and grow our marketing and sales functions.
This is a critical leadership role that will play a key part in driving the company's strategic growth and achieving ambitious business objectives.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in international markets, particularly within the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute the annual marketing and sales plan, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of 10+ marketing and sales professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Cultivate strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure seamless communication, efficient workflows, and exceptional customer service.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry events.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new market segments and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Spearhead the development and launch of new products and services in collaboration with engineering and management teams.
- Manage all aspects of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, trade shows, and public relations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry influencers.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, contract negotiation, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant export and import regulations, including customs procedures, trade agreements, and documentation requirements.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify trends, track progress against key metrics, and make necessary adjustments to sales strategies.
Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity for the Board of Directors.
- Present the annual marketing and sales plan to the Board of Directors for approval and implementation.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.
- MBA is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the Oil & Gas industry, with a strong focus on international markets.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing successful marketing and sales strategies.
- Deep understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, including market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Extensive experience in selling static equipment for Oil & Gas (e. , Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns & Reactors) is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing sales teams.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with excellent presentation and negotiation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, export documentation, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
