Marketing Manager - Food Ingredients

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive business growth, brand positioning, and market expansion for our food ingredients division. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, marketing, and business development within the food ingredients sector, with a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed company targets for revenue and market share in the food ingredients sector.
• Identify and target new business opportunities, including new markets, channels, and key customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations (manufacturers, food producers, retailers, etc.).
• Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a high conversion rate.
2. Marketing Strategy & Brand Development:
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote food ingredients products and enhance brand visibility in both traditional and digital channels.
• Manage product launches, promotional campaigns, and trade marketing activities.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to adapt marketing approaches and capitalize on emerging trends.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
• Act as the key liaison between customers and the company, handling customer inquiries, issues, and requests.
• Conduct regular business reviews and meetings with customers to ensure alignment with their needs.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
• Lead and mentor a team of sales and marketing professionals, providing guidance, training, and development to help them achieve targets and grow their careers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, production, logistics, and finance) to ensure smooth execution of sales and marketing activities.
• Coordinate with the senior management team to align sales and marketing strategies with the overall business goals.
5. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs, and track performance to ensure targets are met.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and market insights.
• Analyze sales data and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
6. Compliance & Market Knowledge:
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and market trends related to food ingredients.
• Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with local and international laws and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.Tech Chemical with M.B.A Marketing. Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 12-18 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the food ingredients or food manufacturing industries.
