Junior Data Engineer - ETL (1-4 yrs)

About the Role :

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using SQL and other relevant technologies.

- Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, files) and load it into our data warehouse.

- Transform and clean data to ensure data quality and consistency.

- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary data support.

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our data warehouse schema.

- Write and maintain clear and concise documentation for data pipelines and processes.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends and technologies.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.

- Assist in the automation of data-related tasks.

- Work with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift - mention specific technologies used by your company).

- Implement data quality checks and monitoring.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

- 1-4 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

- Strong SQL skills, including experience with data manipulation, querying, and stored procedures.

- Specifically mention the SQL dialects your company uses, e.g, MySQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL.

- Experience with at least one ETL tool or framework (e.g, Apache Airflow, Informatica, SSIS).

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).

- Experience with scripting languages like Python is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Passion for data and a desire to learn and grow in the field of data engineering.

Bonus Points :

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g, Tableau, Power BI).
