Investment Product Specialist - AVP/VP
Role: Investment Product Manager
Grade: Associate Vice President / Vice President
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications (if any) NISM XXI-A (PMS) preferred.
- Experience: 6 - 8 years of experience in investment product management, asset management, or related roles.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management.
- Proven experience in product development, strategy, and lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the investment management industry.
- Conduct due diligence and selection of mutual funds and assist with PMS/AIF selection.
- Build strong relationships with AMCs (Asset Management Companies) to negotiate terms and gain access to exclusive opportunities.
- Monitor fund performance and recommend necessary changes to optimize investment options.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and potential product enhancements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies and product communication plans.
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from inception to launch, post-launch performance monitoring, and recommending improvements or modifications.
- Work closely with relationship managers and wealth managers to provide insights on fund selection and positioning.
- Communicate product updates, performance insights, and strategy to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy, aligning it with broader business goals.
- Develop sales enablement tools, training materials, and product presentations for internal teams.
- Conduct regular product training sessions to enhance the understanding of mutual fund offerings.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, legal compliance, and sales teams to ensure that products are market-ready and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Ensure products meet all regulatory, audit, and internal policy requirements.
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on product offerings.
- Contribute to the systemization and strengthening of platforms to achieve scalability and sustainability.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Manage financial, regulatory, and reputational risks prudently for both the firm and its clients.
- Foster a collaborative and effective teamwork culture across all levels of the organization.
- Manage stakeholders effectively to ensure successful product outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development, pursuing knowledge-enhancing initiatives and obtaining necessary certifications or licenses, as applicable.
