Precast Erection Engineer

Job Summary:
The Erection Engineer will be responsible for the on-site execution and supervision of erection activities for precast components in residential township projects. The role involves planning, coordination, and ensuring safe and timely assembly of precast structures while adhering to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Erection Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement erection plans, schedules, and methodologies for precast components like walls, slabs, beams, and columns.
• Review construction drawings and ensure correct placement and alignment of precast elements.
2. Site Supervision:
• Supervise the erection process and guide the team to achieve precision and quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and compliance with health and safety regulations at the site.
3. Team Management:
• Coordinate with the crane operators, riggers, and laborers for efficient execution.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during erection activities.
4. Material and Equipment Management:
• Coordinate the delivery and storage of precast components on-site.
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of lifting equipment, tools, and machinery.
5. Quality Control:
• Inspect and verify that the precast components are free of defects before erection.
• Conduct quality checks during and after the assembly process to ensure structural stability.
6. Coordination with Stakeholders:
• Work closely with design, production, and project management teams to address technical issues.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors for seamless operations.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare daily progress reports and ensure accurate documentation of erection activities.
• Identify potential delays or challenges and propose corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree/Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in erection activities within the precast construction industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of precast technology and erection methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in using cranes, lifting tools, and other erection equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
