Graduate Engineer Trainees

Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated engineers with a strong aptitude for engineering and problem-solving to join our multidisciplinary team. The selected candidates will work on thermal power projects, handling various engineering aspects from design to execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Mechanical Engineer:

• Design and analysis of power plant mechanical systems including boilers, turbines, piping, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Perform system calculations, stress analysis, and efficiency evaluations.
• Prepare technical specifications and review vendor documentation.
• Work on CFD, FEA, and thermal analysis for optimizing plant performance.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for project execution.

Electrical Engineer:

• Design and develop power distribution systems, high-voltage switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
• Conduct load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, and ETAP analysis.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), key power distribution diagrams, and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Work on automation and control systems integration for power plants.
• Involve in power system studies, grid compliance, and plant electrification.

Civil & Structural Engineer:

• Design plant structures, foundations, silos, pipe racks, chimneys, cooling towers, and equipment support structures.
• Perform structural analysis using STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and other structural design software.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with the construction team for execution.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Work on dynamic and static load calculations for large structures.

Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer:

• Design and implementation of PLC, SCADA, and DCS-based control systems.
• Develop instrumentation layouts, control philosophy, I/O lists, and logic diagrams.
• Work on process automation, sensor selection, and loop tuning for optimized plant control.
• Ensure seamless integration of C&I systems with mechanical and electrical components.
• Evaluate new technologies and optimize existing control systems.

Key Skills & Competencies:

✔️ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

✔️ Proficiency in engineering design software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, ETAP, STAAD.Pro, MATLAB, or similar tools.

✔️ Knowledge of thermal power plants, turbines, boilers, switchgear, and control systems.

✔️ Understanding of industry codes and standards (IS, ASME, IEEE, IEC, etc.).

✔️ Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to real-world scenarios.

✔️ Ability to collaborate across disciplines and work in a team-oriented environment.

✔️ Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduates from IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, or other Tier-1 engineering colleges will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with design and simulation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with power plants, EPC projects, or energy systems will be a plus.
