SolidWorks Engineer (FEA & Design)

Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings in SolidWorks.
- Conduct FEA simulations to analyze structural integrity, thermal performance, and mechanical properties of designs.
- Optimize designs for weight, cost, and manufacturability.
- Create detailed technical drawings and GD&T specifications for manufacturing.
- Perform stress analysis and structural validation for various projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality control, and R&D.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SolidWorks design and FEA simulations.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Simulation and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).
- Strong knowledge of material properties, stress analysis, and mechanical design principles.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal, casting).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
