Production Scheduling and Procurement Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Sales-Driven Production Scheduling:
• Use sales data from Odoo to schedule the fabrication and assembly of equipment, ensuring alignment with customer demand and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate production across various fabrication facilities to meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
• Procurement and Inventory Management:
• Manage procurement to maintain a reliable supply of parts and assemblies, optimizing for cost and availability.
• Implement inventory strategies using Odoo's Inventory module to achieve just-in-time inventory, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
• Fabrication Coordination:
• Decide on in-house versus outsourced fabrication based on capacity, cost, and expertise.
• Oversee relationships with external shops, ensuring they meet Tilco's quality and timing requirements.
• BOM and Assembly Management:
• Keep BOMs in Odoo updated, reflecting production requirements and supplier changes.
• Ensure all parts have accurate supplier and cost information for effective planning.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Analyze production data against sales to fine-tune schedules.
• Produce reports on production efficiency, inventory management, and procurement performance using Odoo's tools.
• Supplier Management:
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve terms, lead times, and quality.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet production schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience with ERP systems like Odoo, focusing on manufacturing and procurement.
• Strong analytical skills to align production with sales data.
• Experience in managing production schedules across multiple locations and inventory control.
• Good negotiation and project management skills for supplier and contractor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• Background in production scheduling, inventory management, and procurement, preferably with large equipment manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Odoo's relevant modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase).
