The Trade Marketing Executive is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing marketing strategies that drive sales and brand presence at the retail level. This role focuses on improving the visibility and profitability of products within the trade, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners such as distributors and retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Marketing Strategy:
Assist in the development and execution of trade marketing strategies to drive product awareness, sales, and brand visibility in retail environments.
Coordinate with the sales team to identify opportunities for growth and develop tailored promotional campaigns that meet the needs of trade partners.
Retailer Relations & Promotions:
Manage relationships with key retailers and distributors, ensuring alignment with promotional objectives and brand guidelines.
Design, implement, and evaluate trade promotions and merchandising strategies, ensuring that they meet objectives and deliver measurable results.
Develop point-of-sale materials, product displays, and other in-store assets to maximize product visibility and sales.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitor activities, and retail performance to inform trade marketing plans.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns, promotions, and activities, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with the sales, brand marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution of trade marketing activities.
Provide feedback and insights to the brand team regarding customer and retailer preferences to influence product development and marketing strategies.
Budget Management:
Assist in managing the trade marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for promotions, events, and retail activities.
Track spending and ensure that trade marketing activities are executed within budgetary constraints.
Sales Support:
Provide the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and support to drive effective product promotions and in-store execution.
Support new product launches and seasonal campaigns with tailored trade marketing plans.
Key Requirements:
Education:
A bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or a related field, preferably within [industry type, e.g., FMCG, retail, consumer goods].
Proven experience working with retailers, distributors, and sales teams to execute trade marketing activities.
