Position Overview: The Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales within a designated region, managing customer relationships, and promoting the company s products or services. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Sales Officer will also play a key role in market development, brand visibility, and supporting the overall sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Target Achievement:
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer visits to maximize productivity.
Monitor and assess sales performance regularly to ensure targets are being met.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients.
Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services to meet those needs.
Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
Lead Generation & New Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
Expand the customer base by identifying new prospects, understanding their needs, and converting leads into sales.
Keep an up-to-date database of prospects and track sales progress.
Sales Presentations & Negotiations:
Conduct sales presentations to prospective customers, effectively communicating the features, benefits, and value of the company s products or services.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies and profitability goals.
Close sales deals while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to stay ahead of market demands.
Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and competitor strategies.
Conduct regular market visits and surveys to gain insights into customer behavior and opportunities.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales results.
Provide regular sales reports to management, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales forecasts.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company s products, services, and industry developments.
Participate in regular training to stay updated on new product offerings and sales techniques.
Educate clients about the product s features, benefits, and how it meets their specific needs.
Customer Service & Support:
Ensure the smooth execution of customer orders, product deliveries, and post-sales support.
Address any customer complaints or issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless sales execution.
Collaborate with team members to share best practices and achieve collective sales goals.
Assist in organizing events, promotional activities, or product launches to boost sales.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree
2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Good understanding of customer needs and sales techniques.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Ability to analyze market data and generate sales reports.
Preferred Skills:
