Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our last mile delivery and warehouse operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background-preferably an MBA-and proven experience in logistics and operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Operations Leadership: Oversee and manage last mile delivery operations across all US cities, ensuring efficiency, timely deliveries, and superior customer experience.
Warehouse Management:
- Oversee inventory planning and warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure operations are cost-effective and compliant with safety and legal standards.
Last-Mile Delivery:
- Design and own end-to-end unit cost strategies.
- Manage the complete last-mile cycle, including 3PL relationships.
- Achieve and maintain delivery SLA success ratios.
Fleet & Team Management:
- Improve fleet management practices and optimize operational costs.
- Mentor Delivery Centre Managers.
Customer Experience & Collaboration:
- Enhance customer service quality.
- Liaise with Finance, Customer Service, and Head Office for seamless operations.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor production KPIs and perform quality controls.
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives using financial data to drive profitability.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships, tracking pricing, rebates, and service levels.
Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Make key policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in logistics/operations.
- Solid knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA is preferred,from tier 1 campuses such as IIT or NITIE or IIMs.
