Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead People Partner to serve as a strategic advisor and partner to our business leadership team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the full spectrum of people operations and human capital strategies.
- You will act as the primary interface between the business teams and the People's Office, ensuring alignment on key initiatives and driving impactful outcomes in the areas of talent management, performance, employee engagement, learning and development, and retention.
- As the Lead People Partner, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service to the business, establishing trust with key stakeholders, and ensuring that people strategies are aligned with organizational objectives. You will also be expected to bring a deep understanding of the business context and proactively manage the end-to-end people lifecycle processes, driving both employee satisfaction and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with senior business leaders to understand business goals and challenges, providing tailored HR solutions that align with and support the achievement of these objectives.
- End-to-End People Processes: Lead the execution and continuous improvement of critical HR processes, including talent management, performance reviews, compensation & benefits, learning and development programs, employee engagement, grievance resolution, and retention strategies.
- Performance Management: Support business leaders in setting clear performance expectations, managing employee performance, and driving a culture of high performance. Ensure alignment of performance metrics with broader organizational goals.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by developing and implementing initiatives that enhance employee engagement, promote open communication, and improve overall employee satisfaction and productivity.
- Learning & Development: Partner with the Learning & Development team to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities, ensuring the continuous growth and development of employees at all levels within the business.
- Retention Strategy: Work with business leadership to develop and implement strategies aimed at retaining top talent, minimizing turnover, and enhancing employee loyalty.
- Grievance & Conflict Resolution: Act as a trusted advisor in managing employee grievances, conflict resolution, and sensitive people issues. Ensure fair, timely, and consistent resolution in alignment with company policies and values.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use HR analytics to assess key metrics and provide insights on talent trends, employee engagement, retention, and other people-related issues. Provide regular reports to leadership on the status of key HR initiatives.
Collaboration with Central People Office: Serve as a liaison between the business and the People's Office, ensuring smooth communication and execution of company-wide HR strategies, policies, and initiatives.
- Ownership of KPIs: Assume joint responsibility for the success of key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact the business team's talent-related outcomes, including but not limited to employee retention, engagement scores, performance ratings, and training effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Background: Post-graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA from a premier institution (IIM, ISB, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations, with at least 4 years in a strategic HR business partner or people partner role. Experience in managing complex business environments is highly desirable.
- Strong Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations, organizational dynamics, and how HR practices can drive business success. Proven ability to think strategically and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and guide decision-making on critical people matters. Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead by example and drive change within the organization.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical & Data-Oriented: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage HR data and metrics to identify trends, measure impact, and drive decision-making.
- Problem-Solving Orientation: A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate complex issues and provide effective resolutions.
