Senior Research Fellow (SRF)-Consultant

The candidate will work on a CHT (Ministry of Petroleum
Natural Gas, Government of India) funded Project on catalytic pyrolysis, pyrolysis product upgradation and coprocessing. The RA will be required to work in pilot pyrolysis reactor and other high-pressure reactors
Position for 3 years.

Qualification

PhD in Chemistry/Energy Science and Engg/ Chemical Engg/ Petrochemical Engg or Masters (MSc/MTech/ME) in Chemistry- Chemical Engg/Energy Science and Technology with up to 3 years of experience in making and analysing heterogenous catalyst- catalytic biofuel conversion (thermochemical route only).
Strong Analytical skills for Analysis of pyrolysis products using GCMS / HPLC / Calorimeter / TGA / GC / NMR / FTIR are desirable. Knowledge of the Pyrolysis process and gasification techniques is necessary.
Fresh PhD or Masters with 2-3 years of experience in Chemistry/Chemical Engg. /Energy Engg preferred.

Skills

- Heterogenous catalyst synthesis- Deoxygenationcatalytic and and hydrotreatment of bio-oil- Thermochemical biomass conversion (pyrolysis gasification only)
- Prior knowledge in LCA and techno-economic evaluation (preferred).
- Very good technical writing skills in English is an absolute necessity.
- Able to evaluate- analyze and interpret results- identify next steps/key challenges and conduct experiments in pilot reactors.
- Excellent team spirit- communication skills- highly motivated- hard-working and high level of integrity.
