Job Title : IVI Testing Engineer
Experience : 3+ years
Location : Bangalore
We are seeking a highly skilled IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing automotive infotainment systems, ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and reliability. This role requires expertise in both manual and automated testing, along with a strong understanding of automotive communication protocols and software validation processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform functional, regression, system, and performance testing on in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.
- Validate UI, multimedia, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Navigation, Voice Recognition, and Telematics functionalities.
- Execute test cases and test scenarios for IVI applications to ensure seamless user experience.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to validate infotainment features across different vehicle models.
- Work on CAN (Controller Area Network), LIN (Local Interconnect Network), MOST (Media-Oriented Systems Transport), and Ethernet-based communication protocols.
- Utilize CANoe, CANalyzer, and Vector tools to analyze and debug vehicle communication networks.
- Perform bus simulation, diagnostics testing, and ECU validation to ensure seamless interaction between electronic control units (ECUs).
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or other scripting languages.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks to improve efficiency in IVI testing.
- Integrate automation tools with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments for system validation.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or other defect tracking tools.
- Work closely with the development and integration teams to resolve software and hardware issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide recommendations for defect resolution.
- Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity and functional safety standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR, and MISRA-C).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system architects, and validation engineers.
- Ensure compliance with global automotive standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test case creation, and test strategy development.
- Support field testing and real-world validation of IVI systems under different driving conditions.
- 3+ years of experience in IVI Testing / Automotive Embedded Testing.
- Strong knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Linux-based IVI platforms, and HMI validation.
- Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN, MOST, and Ethernet-based testing.
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector tools, and vehicle diagnostics tools.
- Proficiency in Python, CAPL, or other scripting languages for test automation.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills for defect analysis.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for software validation.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, ALM, or other test management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based automotive services, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and cybersecurity.
- Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE in automotive software development.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Experience in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and Telematics testing.
- Exposure to navigation systems, voice assistants, and real-time traffic integration.
- Understanding of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication protocols.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI-driven testing frameworks in automotive.
