Job Summary

A Mid-Level to manage a critical program function for one of our biggest clients in the banking domain. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in Program delivery, IT Operations Management and well versed in deployment of ITIL process

The candidate should ideally have 8+ years of IT experience with strong technical background and preferably experience in End-to-end ownership of iSeries infra-activities as an admin and account management. We are looking for an experienced AS400 I-series admin. A resource with strong knowledge in Linux, Windows, and security tools. Responsible for maintenance and support of all information systems services from a client endpoint and server system.

Years of experience needed

• At least 8-12 years of work experience in ITSM based service management organizations
• Education qualification: BE/Graduation

Technical Skills

Essential Experience:

Must have all the following:

specially worked on P5 to P9 migration.

• End to end ownership of iSeries infra-activities as an admin
• Hardware Maintenance
• System backup and recovery
• Verification of backups
• Upgrade of O/S
• Troubleshooting issues
• Applying patches to iSeries servers
• Take a copy of Production into a tape and load it into a lower environment.
• Data refresh from Prod to Test via jobs.
• Monitoring of system messages and take appropriate action.
• Liaising with teams based out Prod & DR data centres for all activities.
• User Entitlement Reviews for iSeries users/accounts
• Update ing for End of Day and End of Month batch runs.
• Documentation of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the security aspects of Production server is intact and be watchful of potential threats/take remediation measures.
• Well verse with documentation and process definitions.
• Good Communication skill (Written & verbal)
• Flexibility around availability (shifts/weekends/holidays)

Good to have Knowledge of &/or experience in all or some of the following

• Static code analysis tools, Release management, Security scanning tools and Load balancers
• Change deployment & Governance
• Tools - JIRA, Confluence
• Incident management
• Tools - Service Now
• Test support
• Knowledge of environment health checks, deployments and workflow management
• Stakeholder Management
• Working in a global delivery model
