Tejas Networks - Senior Engineer - IT Automation Tools (5-7 yrs)

About the Team :

Our Validation & Automation team plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our entire product portfolio. We are responsible for developing a comprehensive automation framework, creating customer documentation, and delivering training solutions.

We also maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, including TL9000 and TSEC. This team fosters close collaboration with PLM, hardware, and software architects, sales, and customer account teams.

We work together to innovate and develop network deployment strategies for a broad range of networking products and software solutions.

As a Validation & Automation Engineer you'll be responsible for :

- Design, develop, and maintain a robust automation framework for validating our entire product portfolio.

- Implement tools and techniques to automate test cases and regression suites.

- Utilize object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and multi-threading practices for efficient framework development.

- Develop and execute test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of our products.

- Analyze test results, identify and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to bug resolution.

- Collaborate with technical writers to create comprehensive user documentation for our products.

- Develop and deliver training solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

- Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant technical certifications like TL9000 and TSEC.

- Implement processes and procedures to ensure product development adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with other engineering teams, sales, and customer accounts to identify opportunities for network deployment innovation.

- Validate, demonstrate, and influence new technologies that shape the future of optical, routing, fiber broadband, and wireless networks.

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (B.Tech., M.Tech preferred).

- 3-7 years of experience in automation framework or tools development.

- Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using Python.

- Strong understanding and experience with OOP concepts and multi-threading.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

Desired Skills :

- Working knowledge of container-based applications, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.

- Understanding of Telecommunication Networks (4G, 5G) and L2/L3 technologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- 5-7 years of experience
