Job Title: SQL DBA

Experience:  7+

Key Skills:

• Experience in large and complex databases in SQL Server 2019,2017,2014,2012, SQL Server 2008 R2
• Experience in Installation and configuration of SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017,2019
• Technical proficiency in handling Microsoft SQL Database related issues both in production and non-production environments with expertise in doing rigorous troubleshooting on Database Backup, Restore, Log shipping, Database Mirroring and Always on etc.
• Experienced in scheduling Backups, Restore and Maintenance plans using Native tools.
• Experienced in using different Recovery models Simple, Full and Bulk-logged depending on Application requirement.
• Good experience configuring the index creation and maintenance activities on indexes.
• Slow running queries and helping in improving the performance.
• Restoring the Databases from Prod to Test.
• Troubleshooting blockings, deadlocks, disk space issues and fixing them by adding permanent fixes.
• Running the maintenance activities like update-statistics and DBCC CHECKDB at the time of performance issues
• Creating and managing the users and permissions and fixing the orphan users.
• Configured and maintained Transactional Replication and troubleshooting and adding articles to the existing replication.
• Good experience configuring and maintaining Log shipping and Mirroring.
• Hands on experience in Migration of SQL Server and databases from old version to new version.
• Configured and maintained Active/Passive clustering for failover. And performing patching as well.
• Configuring Always-ON in SQL Server 2012/2014 and adding and removing Databases to existing HADR Availability Group.
• Troubleshooting slow running queries.
• Good to have Knowledge in SSIS and SSRS configuration and migration of packages and migration reports.

DB2 JD:

• Experience on DB2 v9.x/10.x/11.1x installation on Linux, AIX and Windows OS. 
• Experience Installations server Oracle database create database and user alter and version EXPD and IMPDP. 
• Expertise in configuring HADR.  
• Applied fix packs as and when the APAR is raised and applicable. 
• Expertise in configuring database backup strategies for Production and Test databases. 
• Well versed with DB restores including Redirected restores as per the requirement. 
• Database refresh wart schema/objects by creating them using db2look.  
• Extensively used RUNSTATS, REORGCHK and REORG to enhance application performance. 
• Data movement utilities like IMPORT, LOAD, EXPORT and db2move. 
• Expertise in monitoring/tuning buffer pools, DBM and DB CFG parameters  
• Experience in working on high severity tickets in critical situations.
• Expertise in raising SRs with IBM support to resolve major incidents. 
• Good knowledge on setting-up HADR. 
• Worked in 24*7-production support model. 
• Proficient in executing database changes in Production and Test Environments. 
• Ability to troubleshoot day-to-day problems encountered on production as well as test and development database environments.
