Junior Account Associate

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Account Executive to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles, particularly those with prior experience working on Tally and handling statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Petty Cash: Ensure proper documentation and management of petty cash transactions.
• Journal Voucher Entry: Accurately record financial transactions using journal entries.
• Purchase Invoice Booking: Process and record purchase invoices in the accounting system.
• Sales Invoice Booking: Manage and record sales invoices promptly and accurately.
• PO Generation: Assist in the creation and management of purchase orders (PO).
• GST Return: Assist with the preparation and filing of GST returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
• TDS Return: Handle and process TDS returns in accordance with relevant tax laws.
• Statutory Payments: Ensure timely payment and compliance with statutory obligations such as GST, TDS, and other relevant taxes.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and balanced.
• Debtors and Creditors Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of debtor and creditor accounts to ensure accuracy.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist with maintaining and updating the general ledger.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Qualifications: Graduation in Commerce (B.Com or equivalent).
• Previous Experience: Hands-on experience with Tally is mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in basic MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work with accounting software and Tally.
• Knowledge of Statutory Requirements: Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory payments.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in handling bank and accounts reconciliations.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
