Position: Civil Coordinator

Reporting to: Project Manager/Site Manager

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Project Coordination:
• • Act as the primary liaison between the project team, contractors, and stakeholders.
• • Coordinate day-to-day site activities to ensure project timelines are met.
• • Facilitate communication between design, procurement, and construction teams.
• 2. Construction Oversight:
• • Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
• • Inspect work progress and quality to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• • Address and resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
• 3. Documentation and Reporting:
• • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
• • Prepare and submit progress reports to the Project Manager or stakeholders.
• • Track project milestones and ensure documentation aligns with deliverables.
• 4. Quality and Safety Compliance:
• • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• • Conduct regular site inspections and address non-conformances.
• • Promote a safe working environment by implementing site-specific safety measures.
• 5. Resource Management:
• • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• • Manage workforce allocation and monitor productivity.
• • Identify and address resource shortages or excesses to maintain efficiency.
• 6. Budget and Schedule Monitoring:
• • Assist in tracking project costs and ensuring they remain within budget.
• • Support the Project Manager in maintaining project schedules and minimizing delays.
• 7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
• • Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
• • Organize and participate in project meetings to discuss progress and challenges.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• • Educational Background:
• • Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• • Experience:
• • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role.
• • Technical Skills:
• • Proficiency in project management and design software (AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
• • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
• • Soft Skills:
• • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
• • Problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges efficiently.
• • Certifications (preferred):
• • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• • Safety certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH.
