Position Overview
A Thai Massage Therapist provides professional and therapeutic massage services using traditional Thai techniques. This includes applying acupressure, stretching, and yoga-like postures to promote relaxation, improve flexibility, and enhance overall wellness. The therapist ensures a safe, comfortable environment for clients and tailors treatments to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performing Thai Massage
   
• Apply traditional Thai massage techniques, including acupressure, energy line work (Sen Sib), and assisted stretching.
• Adapt treatments based on client preferences, physical conditions, and any contraindications.
2. Client Interaction
   
• Greet clients warmly and establish a professional rapport.
• Conduct initial consultations to understand client needs, health history, and areas of concern.
• Explain the process, benefits, and aftercare recommendations.
3. Treatment Preparation
   
• Prepare the workspace, ensuring cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Arrange mats, pillows, and other necessary equipment for Thai massage sessions.
• Use oils, balms, or herbal compresses when appropriate.
4. Health and Safety
   
• Follow hygiene and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Identify potential health risks and recommend alternative treatments if needed.
• Adhere to local health and safety regulations.
5. Administrative Tasks
   
• Maintain accurate records of treatments provided and client preferences.
• Schedule appointments and handle bookings as needed.
• Promote wellness services and products offered by the facility.
6. Continuous Learning
   
• Stay updated on new techniques, tools, and trends in Thai massage therapy.
• Attend training sessions or workshops to improve skills.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Certification:
  
• Certification in Thai massage from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology (preferred).
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
• Technical Skills:
  
• Proficiency in traditional Thai massage techniques, including stretching and pressure point therapy.
• Understanding of energy lines (Sen Sib) and their role in holistic health.
