Supplier Quality Engineer

Education: Graduate in Mechanical / Production Engineering

Experience: Supplier Quality Engineering from Industrial domain covering Castings, Machining and Gears commodities.

Domain: Industrial, Automotive and Aerospace.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet the required quality standards and specifications to support our manufacturing processes and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality performance.

Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.

Establish and maintain supplier quality agreements, specifications, and performance metrics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive root cause analysis.

Lead supplier development initiatives to improve supplier capabilities, processes, and quality management systems.

Monitor and analyze supplier quality data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of risk.

Participate in new product development projects to ensure supplier readiness and qualifications.

Support regulatory compliance efforts by ensuring that suppliers meet relevant quality and regulatory requirements. Conduct supplier visits \Audits for Regional suppliers

Maintain good coordination with cross functional groups at offshore - project managers, project controls, engineering, and other internal personnel.

Should have exposure in production processes and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement.

Exposure to Manufacturing practices, specific to Machining, Special Mfg. Process, castings and Gears.

Exposure with Quality system like ISO 9001, IATF 16949 / AS 9100 / ISO 13485
