Job Summary

The Team Leader - Sales & Operations, is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in leading and optimizing the companys operational processes. This includes managing daily operations, ensuring service quality, monitoring performance, and leading team members to achieve operational goals. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall success of the company.


Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Operations, is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in leading and optimizing the companys operational processes. This includes managing daily operations, ensuring service quality, monitoring performance, and leading team members to achieve operational goals. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities



  • Daily Operations Management
    • Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Coordinate with teams to maintain consistent workflows, resolve bottlenecks, and manage workload distribution.
    • Monitor and review operational tasks to ensure they meet quality standards and are completed on time.
  • Team Supervision and Development
    • Support team members by providing guidance, training, and resources to help them perform effectively.
    • Conduct regular check-ins and team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in onboarding new employees and help with professional development initiatives for team members.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of operations.
    • Generate regular reports on operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Work with the Operations Manager to establish performance targets and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify areas where processes can be optimized, and work with the Operations Manager to implement changes.
    • Assist in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance productivity.
    • Collect feedback from team members and stakeholders to make data-driven improvements in operations.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
    • Conduct quality checks and audits to maintain high standards in service and product delivery.
    • Address any quality issues by working with the relevant departments to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
  • Resource and Inventory Management
    • Help manage resources and inventory to ensure adequate supplies and equipment for operational needs.
    • Monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely restocking.
    • Ensure that resources are used efficiently to minimize costs while meeting operational requirements.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality
    • Assist in managing customer interactions, addressing service-related concerns, and improving customer satisfaction.
    • Act as a point of contact for customer issues and escalate to the Operations Manager as necessary.
    • Ensure the team maintains high standards of service to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control
    • Support budget management by monitoring expenses and recommending cost-saving initiatives.
    • Track operational spending to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
    • Assist the Operations Manager in preparing budget reports and forecasting future expenses.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance
    • Ensure that safety and health regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, train staff on safety practices, and address any safety concerns.
    • Work with the compliance team to stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., HR, Finance, Sales) to ensure alignment in achieving operational objectives.
    • Serve as a liaison between teams to facilitate communication and maintain operational consistency.
    • Support company-wide initiatives and projects that impact operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, with some leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational principles, process improvement, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP or CRM software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.


Additional Skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience with budget management and cost control is advantageous.
