Autocad Draughtsman

Responsibilities

• Create drawings: Use CAD software to create 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and models
• Collaborate with others: Work with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand design specifications and project requirements
• Verify drawings: Check drawings for accuracy and compliance with industry standards
• Manage files: Maintain a database of drawings, and create and update project drawing lists
• Prepare documentation: Create supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions
• Distribute drawings: Distribute drawings to internal departments and external contractors
• Travel to job sites: Occasionally travel to job sites to obtain or verify measurements

AutoCAD draftsmen must specialize in a particular industry, such as civil engineering.
