Assistant Manager Facilities

Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general store maintenance.
• Electrical System Management: Ensure smooth functioning of power supply, UPS, generators, and lighting.
• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Implement schedules to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Budget & Cost Control: Track expenses and optimize maintenance costs without compromising quality.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to government regulations, fire safety norms, and electrical compliance.
• Store Expansion & New Openings: Support MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) planning and infrastructure setup.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain records of maintenance schedules, store issues, and vendor service reports.

Summary of Experience

• 8-10 years Retail, Hospitality, QSR (Preferred)

Qualification

• B. Tec / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety equipment, and store infrastructure.

• Vendor Management: Experience in contract negotiations, service agreements, and vendor performance management.

• Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of fire safety regulations, electrical compliance, and statutory requirements.

• Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making and troubleshooting skills for resolving store maintenance challenges.

• Communication & Coordination: Ability to liaise with store teams, vendors, and senior management effectively.

• Data & Report Analysis: Track maintenance records, analyze trends, and generate reports for cost optimization.

• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment with changing priorities.

• Customer-Centric Approach: Ensuring a seamless store experience through efficient facility management.
