Job Description
A) Essential Qualification:
Bachelor s degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field.
Master s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant specialization is preferred.
B) Required Skills:
1. Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks such as COSO, ISO 31000, and FAIR.
Expertise in regulatory compliance requirements relevant to telecommunications, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and TRAI regulations.
Familiarity with IT governance standards like COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Strong understanding of telecom network architecture, cloud security, and emerging technologies like 5G and IoT.
Proficiency in implementing compliance tools and risk monitoring platforms.
Experience in auditing practices, forensic analysis, and incident management.
2. Functional Skills:
Strategic planning for governance, risk, and compliance in large-scale organizations.
Development and enforcement of policies and procedures for corporate governance and operational risk.
Effective handling of regulatory audits, investigations, and reporting.
Vendor risk assessment and third-party compliance management.
Budgeting and resource allocation for GRC initiatives.
3. Behavioural Skills:
Leadership and team-building skills to manage cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and regulators.
Ethical mindset and a high degree of integrity.
Ability to adapt to dynamic regulatory landscapes and business environments.
C) Work Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in managing GRC programs within the telecommunications or IT sectors.
Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide compliance initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
Experience in engaging with regulatory bodies and managing large-scale audits.
D) Certifications:
Mandatory:
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
ISO 31000 Risk Manager Certification.
Preferred:
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer.
Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) Certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
