Assistant Manager - Electronics and Electrical

Role & responsibilities

B.E.(Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation) and Post-Graduation Degree in Purchase or SCM will be an added advantage

• Experience of 5+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing domain
• Preferably with experience from Electrical or Electronics Industry
• Strong understanding of the Purchasing processes
• Experience in purchasing, development, sourcing of Electrical and Electronics

Parts/assemblies/components, preferably in an Automotive or Electronics industry

• Techno commercial knowledge on commodities like Wiring Harness, Motors, PCB, PCB
  Assemblies,

Active/Passive components (Capacitors, ICs, FETs etc.), Transformers, Switch Gears etc.

• Familiarity with SAP MM Module and various reports
• Good knowledge of part costing, Cost drivers, Commodity trends and Knowledge of Cost
  reduction levers
• Domestic and Global Supplier base specific to above commodities
• Supplier assessment and Supplier onboarding process
• Hands-on with MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint along with other analytical tools
• Applicant should have worked in a Cross-functional work environment
• Exposure to Global/International sourcing of Electronic and Electrical parts and supplier base
  is must
• Applicant should be able to withstand pressure
• Personality: Agile and Adaptive, very good interpersonal skills, good analytical skills,
• Innovative approach, High on Negotiation, Communication skill

Preferred candidate profile

Should be able to handle the portfolio of Electrical and Electronics commodity

Should have ownership of Electrical and Electronics Commodity including Cost reduction

Targets, Supplier Strategy etc.

Working closely with the Business Unit CFTs (Purchase and relevant technical Teams) for

Various Purchasing initiatives: Cost Reduction, Supplier Negotiation, Consolidation etc

Providing periodic updates to the senior management about the progress on set targets,
market and industry commodity trends etc

Travelling locally within Pune and cross India for BU Plant Locations, Suppliers locations etc.
